Final Grass Lawn Chair Writings

How to Make a Grass Lawn Chair

1. On a semi dry day start your project by picking out a level spot in your yard with a good amount of space around it (preferably 6ft by 6ft.)

2. Carefully cut pieces of wood to conform to the way you want your lawn chair to look.

3. Anchor the interlocking pieces at least 1 foot into the ground. These pieces will form the outline of your chair.

4. Fill the frame of the chair with appropriate amounts of dirt. Once you are done filling make sure to pat down the dirt with a shovel to secure any loose debris.

5. Plant grass and wait 10 days to 2 weeks for your new chair to grow!

6. Once your grass lawn chair begins to seed or when you deem that the grass is too long take either a pair of garden clippers or a weed-eater and trim the grass to approximately 1 inch standing.

Grass Lawn Chair How To

Lawn chairs have been apart of modern society since the Adirondack chair, designed by Thomas Lee in 1903. Since Thomas's first chair grew in popularity a new market began for outdoor furniture which inevitably lead to the design of other wood, whicker, and resin lawn chairs. While all of these chairs are notable in their own right and have their place in the hearts of american citizens the lawn chair needed an update. In 2008 Greg Tate designed the original grass couch for Readymade magazine ushering in new methods of production that echoed earthwork sculptures of the past such as Spiral Jetty by Robert Smithson.

Bocce Ball

Bocce Ball is a game which closely resembles modern bowling and shuffleboard. The concept of bocce ball, which is throwing balls toward a target, resembles some of the oldest games known to mankind. The modern popularity of Bocce ball is accredited to Italy. As Bocce ball began to become popular again in Europe the sport spread to America with the incoming Italian immigrants at the turn of the century. There are many different types of Bocce, the most popular being open bocce, which is more recreational; and tournament bocce, which is set on a strictly outline court. Bocce ball is an entertaining lawn sport that everyone can enjoy.

Bocce Ball how to steps

1. First, bring a friend and find a grassy open area to play in.

2. At random, have one player toss the “Jack” ball (which is the smaller ball).

3. The person who doesn't toss the jack goes first throwing his/her ball as close to the jack as they can.

4. The next player attempts to knock either the opponent's ball away from the jack or be closer to the jack.

5. After all of the balls are thrown the person with the closest ball to the jack gets one point for every ball in front of the opponent's nearest ball.

6. Once score is taken pick all of the balls and have the winning player throw the jack (this cycle is repeated till the set score).
